Check your HEB mobile app for a new digital coupon, good for a RARE BOGO score on L.A. Looks Styling Gel!
This is perfect timing if you also received the 50 cents off L.A. Looks coupon in the 8/23 Smartsource inserts.
First things first: If you're new to HEB couponing, you'll want to go here for my how-to guide to piggybacking.
Otherwise, the following deal won't make much sense:
L.A. Looks Hair Gel -- priced at $1.94 each.
Buy two bottles for a pre-coupon price of $3.88.
Enter your digital app info at checkout to use your BOGO coupon, which knocks your price down to $1.94 for both items.
Next, piggyback the 50 cents off L.A. Looks coupon from the 8/23 Smartsource insert.
Remember, you aren't stacking coupons in this scenario -- you are buying two items and using two coupons.
Your final price falls to $1.44 for both items, or only 72 cents each!
As always, I recommend you have a copy of the current HEB coupon policy printed or pulled up on your phone when you go to check out.
Even though piggybacking is specifically permitted in the HEB coupon policy (as of over five years ago, actually!) some cashiers are still not aware of how the policy works.
And trust me, you will save yourself a lot of aggravation if you can refer to it right away at the register!
